Pricing and Payment

Currently, I charge a flat rate of US$0.02 (two cents) per word (with an industry standard of approximately 250 words per page) for just copy editing and proofreading. This works out to roughly $30/hour for my time.

I also charge US$0.03 (three cents) per word for developmental editing on its own, without copy editing or proofreading.

If you want developmental editing as well as copy editing, I charge US$0.05 (five cents) per word, with the same assumption regarding words per page as above. This works out roughly to $40/hour for my time.

I invoice directly from Square; your payment information is entirely private. The total will be divided in half; the first half is due before I begin work and the second is due when I return your edited piece to you.

I will not work on pieces which include a strong focus on rape, child molestation or pedophilia, animal harm, or torture.
